Prepare on a Budget

If you are on a budget, or if you simply dont want to spend too much money and still be prepared in the
event of some major set back, there is a simple and cheap way to accomplish this.

First thing is you want to use food that will not go bad after 8 months or even 12 months. It should be
simple and be able to keep you alive. If possible it should also taste good.

So where does that leave us?

RICE! It keeps forever. If you purchase a large bottle of beef or chicken bullion, then you will have
extra taste and some protein too. Rice is very inexpensive, easy to store and easy to prepare.

Dried BEANS! Same as rice, its easy to store, easy to prepare and full of protein.

Ramon Noodles! Extremely inexpensive; although not really that healthy, it is a quick and easy change
of pace.

Those three things alone will keep you alive and not starving. Its assumed there will be an adequate
supply of water. If you have no water to cook with, then you also will have no water to drink, and you
will be dead.

So, obviously it is very important that you make sure you have water reserves one way or another.

To prepare these items, you will of course need clean fresh water. You can not assume that the next natural disaster we find
ourselves in, will be one that does not affect the water system. All we are talking about here is that we SIMPLY need a
