Fundamental Christian Religion has strived to impress upon the masses that we
are separate from God, and that he resides outside of us. We are told that not until
the great return of Jesus that we will once again reunite with him.

We are also told that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in
between. My common sense tells me that I see everything I see, and everything I
see was created, so what ever made everything, must have made EVERYTHING.
If this is true, would this not be like an ocean full of life both large and small?
Everything in this ocean was created from the resources that exist in the ocean.
Every atom, every molecule, every piece of DNA, every bone and shell was
created by the minerals in the ocean. Can we tell the shark, you are not part of this
ocean! You are separate from me and must wait until you die to experience me.
And if you are not a good fishy and listen to the sea horses tell you how to live your
life, I will cast you upon the land when you die and let you bake in the sun!

How can we, who were created by what we will call God, be separate from him?
How can the shark swim to any part of the ocean and not be with the ocean? Why
does this concept of separation offend my common sense, the common sense I
was born with, the tool I must use to find truth, the tool that whatever created me,
gave me to sort out what makes sense and what does not.

Common sense tells me that religion in general would benefit from the notion that
the people need the church to find god. Without the certain threat of everlasting
eternity in fire, what power would the religions have to persuade you of walking
through the grand front doors? If religion did not enforce that you are separate from
God, then who or what would? Common sense tells me, nothing and no one.

Someone may say, but the churches of religions are sacred as is the book we use.
Then I would say what of the priests, pastors, etc that have been in the news in the
last 50 years doing all sorts of unholy activities. Have men always been men, or is
that just a phenomenon of the last 50 years? Common Sense says, men have
always been men.

Un-reputable psychiatrists have always needed a sick patient in order to be a
psychiatrist.  They need you to believe that you can not find your peace of mind on
your own. People selling get rich quick schemes need you to feel poor and believe
that only they have the secret that you need. And a misguided part of fundamental
religion states that you are separate from God, and the only way to connect is
through the church and or the tithing plate.

When I look at a child that is laughing and giggling I feel warm and fuzzy inside.
That one event makes me so happy above all the other daily events. Common
sense tells me that is me realizing God in the face of that baby. And maybe I should
find that face in everyone I see?
